What is Google Workspace for Education?

Google Workspace for Education is a set of Google tools and services that are tailored for schools and homeschools. It is available to all educational institutions that qualify.

How much does Google Workspace for Education cost?

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals is free to qualified educational institutions. Google Workspace for Education Standard, Education Plus, and Teaching and Learning Upgrade are paid subscriptions. For details, go to the Google Workspace for Education website.

Note: If you commit for 2 or more years to Google Workspace for Education Plus, you can get a discount. For details, contact an authorized Google Workspace for Education partner.

How many accounts can I get? Do I need to remove inactive users?

Education Fundamentals provides 10,000 user licenses. However, you can add more users if you need them. For details, go to Request additional Education accounts.

For Education Standard, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus, you get the number of licenses you pay for.

How much storage do users get with Google Workspace for Education?

All Education editions have a baseline of 100 TB of pooled storage shared across the institution.
Teaching and Learning Upgrade and Education Plus editions include additional storage based on the number of licenses that you purchase. For details, see Compare Education editions.

Are nonprofit organizations eligible for Google Workspace for Education?
