- The % discount

The 5% discount should be calculated upon the new customer subscription. Eg. A customer of an existing subscription of 10000 euro help us to book a new customer of 1000 Eur. The discount should be 5% X 1000. However if the new customer gets a 50000 Euro subscription then the discount should be 5% X 50000 = 2500. So the existing customer will get a discounts of 50 euro in the first case and 2500 in the later case.

- The max total discount

The max total discount of all customers gained should not be more than 50% of the customer initial subscription. In our example above if the customer helps and we get 3 customers of 50K subscription each the discount is 5% X 150000 = 7500 Euro. We will give a discount of 5000 in total because 50% X 10000 = 5000 < 7500.

- Discount Time Frame

The discount should be given only for a year. Not more.

- Subscription

The discount should be given only when the first year subscription of the new customer is paid in full. (or after 12 months of payments if monthly subscription)

- Benefits

We still need to think if we give 5% discount or 5% of the new customer subscription fee as free extra benefits (extra students, modules or services) – We could say : Up to 25% of your subscription can be discounted. If you manage to accumulate more , we will give you free services or extra subscription benefits , i.e modules or students.

- Filling the form

The message does not make clear that the discount or the free services can be claimed only if the new prospects fills in the form

- Free Service Package

The 3 references should be qualified leads before we provide the free service package (i.e. we need to verify their existence of a relevant client, we need to be asked for an offer and we need to have at min one presentation to top management, i.e. owners, principals, deans or C – level executive )

- Terms & Conditions

It is obvious that we cannot right all above in the email / letter. However, we need to prepare a Terms & Conditions page and state all above clearly to avoid misunderstanding or confusion. We don’t was to make our customer feel misled.
